Confidex Viking™ product family

Confidex Viking™ Bluetooth® Low-Energy (BLE) Industrial beacons track the location of assets and people, with optional sensors for capturing environmental data. Confidex Viking™ BLE beacons are joining passive RFID in the asset management and tracking space. It’s a new way to track that comes with trade-offs in battery life and cost against improved functionality. Confidex designed the Viking product family to be a modular BLE beacon family that raises the bar for indoor and outdoor industrial asset tracking to gain real time location and conditioning visibility.

Secure and tamper-proof

Confidex Viking™ beacons are designed with security in mind. Confidex Viking™ beacons have integrated secure NFC interface with unique identity keys for configuration and they do not allow changing of configuration over the Bluetooth interface. Confidex Viking™ beacons are turned on/off through the NFC interface which prevents malicious deactivation of the beacons in public environments.

Compliant with leading RTLS platforms

Confidex Viking™ beacons supports two open standard frame formats: Eddystone™ by Google and iBeacon™ by Apple. Confidex Viking™ BLE beacons are not a standalone product solution and typically requires to be integrated as part of a 3rd party platform. Our design philosophy is to provide high quality industrial grade tags to most of the leading Real Time Location Systems available on the market such as Quuppa Angle-of-Arrival (AoA) positioning and Wirepas Massive IoT mesh industrial applications.

Confidex Runestone™ App

Confidex Runestone™ is a mobile phone application for android operating systems used to operate the Confidex Viking™ BLE beacons with Eddystone and iBeacon configurations. With the Confidex Runestone™ App the user can turn the Confidex Vikings™ beacons on and off, view the status and configure broadcasting parameters, making the deployment of BLE infrastructure easy and fast in the field.
